Warm The Streets Sponsorships
A Step to Freedom is seeking sponsorships for our 11th Annual Warm The Streets blanket drive on November 8-9, 2024.
Warm the Streets serves as a platform to connect with hundreds of dedicated community members who are deeply committed to improving the lives of individuals in South LA. This annual event offers a unique opportunity to actively engage with the community and collectively work towards the healing of South LA.
By sponsorship Warm the Streets, you will enable ASF to:
- Provide much-needed blankets, socks, and personal protective equipment (PPE) to our most vulnerable brothers and sisters living on the streets of South LA
- Expand the availability of interim housing units and permanent supportive housing options throughout South Los Angeles, ensuring that more individuals have access to safe and stable housing.
- Deliver essential wrap-around supportive services to ASF clients as they transition out of homelessness, helping them stabilize their lives and move towards long-term stability.
Your sponsorship plays a crucial role in facilitating these initiatives, making a tangible and lasting impact on the lives of those experiencing homelessness in South LA. Together, we can create a community where individuals are supported, empowered, and provided with the resources they need to thrive.

ABOUT
Blankets play a vital role in the lives of homeless individuals in South LA, offering them both warmth and a sense of security necessary for survival. However, the unfortunate truth is that blankets don’t endure for long on the streets. What truly endures and drives A Step to Freedom to host Warm the Streets annually is the connections we establish with the people we meet.
By providing a person living on the streets with a blanket, fresh socks, and personal protective equipment (PPE), we convey the message that we see them, we care about them, and we are eager to learn from them. Each year, our leadership team, sponsors, and volunteers gain valuable insights during Warm the Streets, enabling us to improve our operations and our approach to the homelessness crisis. We learn how to adjust our housing programs and prepare for future challenges based on firsthand experiences shared by those affected by homelessness.
Participating in Warm the Streets offers organizations the opportunity to partner with us and gain an up-close view of the overlooked aspects in our community. While we distribute essential items, we also aim to raise awareness and advocate for the needs of Black and Brown people in South LA. Homelessness doesn’t solely impact the individuals living on the streets; it directly affects our families, extended families, and our friends as well.
Through Warm the Streets, we strive to foster empathy, understanding, and a sense of urgency in addressing this pressing issue in our community. We hope you will join us.
